In 2003, Bill Murar, a career firefighter/paramedic, rode over 12,000 miles on a
four corners tour of the US to raise much needed cash for the Aluminum Cans for
Burned Children Foundation. Many of these miles were ridden on a 1965 Sears
106SS motorcycle. This site is set up to inform people of the continuing fund raising
efforts for pediatric burn victims by Bill and his wife, Joyce, a Registered Nurse.
These efforts center around an annual motorcycle, moped and scooter endurance
race, The Lake Erie Loop. The next Lake Erie Loop will take place the weekend of
June 9-11 2006. The ride will originate at the Panther Trails Campground in
Wellington, Ohio, head west through Detroit, Mich. and Windsor, Ont. into Canada,
east through Fort Erie and back into the US into Buffalo, NY, then back to
Wellington, Ohio. 650 miles in a day!!! Twenty-Five dollar minimum donation.

You will travel through 4 states, 2 countries enjoying the scenes along the shoreline of Lake Erie and just maybe a glimpse of Lake Ontario too! Possible lunch in Canada,

(yes they will take your American Dollars & credit cards).

For those riders after the “A-B-C’s of Touring” award’s, we will be making the photo stops for compliance.

There will be an optional starting point for the “Touring Class” in

Mantua Ohio / Portage County, north of the Ohio Turnpike.

This group will actually start off heading east, stopping at the campgrounds in Wellington Ohio prior to returning to Mantua Ohio Saturday evening.
